Kenneth ( KJ) Robinson Jr, a 2017 graduate of East St.Louis Senior High School . Coach KJ comes from a huge family of athletes so he was truly born to be an athlete.
Coach KJ formally played football as a running back from four years old to the age of eighteen years old. During his time as running back at East St.Louis Senior High School, he contributed to a major part of the team winning the 7A state championship team in 2016. Unfortunately during that year, Coach KJ endured a set Back injury that stopped his career of football. After graduating in the year of 2017, Coach KJ became a master carpenter and certified underwater welder.
Sports have been the focal point of his life ever since Coach KJ was in elementary school. Because of this, I learned at a very young age that hard work, dedication, and patience were the keys to success in sports and in life.
Being a positive influence on kids and making an impact in there lives is what coaching is all about.” Says coach KJ. Most recently, in 2024, I was brought onto the Dashers coaching staff and Robinson is excited to collaborate with the other amazing coaches on the staff to help our athletes grow each and every day on and off the track..
